In this blog I will be giving my political opinions on both issues at home and abroad.
I will also focus on the issues that affect the people of Ipswich and in particular those who live in Rushmere Ward.
I will also try and give an insight to how I will be campaigning in Rushmere and Ipswich

Yet another old campaign picture!
This week it is back again to the early 70's and my mum (Annie Ross)campaigning with the Ipswich MP - Ken Weetch- looks like it is in Gatacre Road, off Bramford Road- not sure who the others are- maybe the press!

Looking closely at the photo, you can see the old-style canvass cards which Ipswich used to use. Ipswich Labour Party continued to use these well into the 1990's, when our election database was computerised. In their day, they were more advanced than systems used anywhere else in the country. Some of the last examples (from Rushmere ward) are now in the County Archive in Gatacre Road - very close to where this photo was taken!
