In this blog I will be giving my political opinions on both issues at home and abroad. I will also focus on the issues that affect the people of Ipswich and in particular those who live in Rushmere Ward. I will also try and give an insight to how I will be campaigning in Rushmere and Ipswich

Well done Sandra!
We are still waiting for the European results, but in Ipswich, we (the Labour Party) gained two seats from the Tories including more importantly for us we took the last Tory seat in Rushmere where we voted in Sandra Gage. Sandra will not only be a great councillor but it will also feel like a breath of fresh air as we say goodbye to the very devisive Judy Terry. She certainly will not be missed by many in our ward.
The full result is here:
Rushmere Ward
Turn out: 39.71%
Surname First name Party Votes
Gage Sandra Labour 1059
Garratt Kingsley Conservative 645
Jones Gareth Liberal Democrats 81

How any politician can be pleased with a turn out of less the 40% hardly a popular mandate to rule . TH
I am glad you agree Alasdair that Judy was very decisive. She had to be in the early days of the Conservative administration as there was lots to sort out after your Party's tenure.
